Maiton Island is famous for housing the highly exclusive Maiton Island Resort. This resort sees Hollywood ‘A-listers’ as guests every year and while the resort itself is too expensive for your average tourist, the island itself can still be explored. There are no day trips here, although it is possible to hire a long-tail boat and make your own way across the sea. It is just 15 minutes away from Phuket’s shores.

The resort offers the ultimate in luxury and relaxation and the entire island has a sense of exclusivity.  If you arrive here by yourself for the day, remember to bring your own refreshments. It is not possible to stay here is you are not at the resort, but there is no entertainment with the exception of what is going on at the resort so those who visit generally head back to Phuket in the evening; after watching the sun go down.
